Documents that contain information that is vital for patient care are called Medical Documents. These can be Clinical or Non-Clinical Documents.
Clinical Documentation includes all information like medical histories regarding the patient which is necessary for physicians to provide care to patients.
Non-Clinical Documentation are non-medical documents of the patient i.e., it doesn’t include anything to do with treating patients directly or virtually. It doesn’t provide details about the treatments provided. It refers to documents that are not related to, involving, or concerned with the direct observation and treatment of patients. These are the administrative documents that keep track of the patient’s care process.
